I discovered a number of years ago that my purpose is to help people be the best they can be. I get the most satisfaction from helping and mentoring people in the residential building industry. With over 40 years experience gained from working with some of Australia's largest and prominent builders and developers such as AV Jennings, Australand (now Frasers), Dennis Family Corporation and Lend Lease as well as smaller boutique builders, I am able to help builders large and small, transform their business with the right approach to marketing, systems and operational processes.

Why We Do What We Do......

 

Over the many years of working in the residential industry, I have found that most builders struggle with the business process and knowing how to be efficient with their business. Even large national companies have struggled under the weight of spreadsheets and constant re-inventing of the wheel. It might sound too noble but I genuinely want to see builders become better business operators and thereby improving the efficiency of the industry. The building industry is unfortunately one where experience comes from making mistakes and some of these can be significant. If we can help you get your business sorted and running more efficiently, this will give you back more time to focus on the things you like doing and that is building.

We also have alliances and partnerships with businesses that can provide great services in marketing, sales training, estimating, accounting and sustainability.

What We Do

 

The 3C Mentor can provide the business coaching and assistance that will help you gain a better understanding of your business and also provide a strong platform to grow your business:

Strategy:

  • discover and create you business model and the strategy that will help deliver your goals 

  • SWOT analysis to determine the framework your business needs to work within

  • business planning-create a one page business plan that works with your business model and your strategy 

  • establish your customer journey and identify where improvements can be made to give your customers a better experience 

Marketing:

  • provide strategic marketing direction and business coaching support (see business coaching) 

Business Process and Design:

  • review business operations to identify weaknesses, gaps and non-compliance issues 

  • design the business processes and documentation needed to suit your business

Design:

  • review your standard designs and construction methods to find savings and efficiencies (some might call this 'Lean Design') 

Training and Mentoring:

  • provide an ongoing external review of your business to make sure it is still operating in accordance with your strategy and business process 

  • provide mentoring to new builders not sure if they are operating effectively

  • deliver workshops for builders on professional builder topics
